Oven Repair in South Florida

Won't heat, runs too hot, bakes unevenly, or shows an error? We diagnose gas and electric wall ovens, double ovens, and standard ovens before recommending a part.

South Florida kitchens include everything from freestanding electric ovens to gas slide-ins and tightly fitted wall or double ovens. The symptom may be simple — an igniter, element, or sensor — while the cost can change because a wall oven has to come out of cabinetry or a model-specific control is no longer stocked. We prove the heating, sensing, ignition, and control fault first and quote the repair before removing a built-in unit or ordering a board.

Common oven problems we fix

Not Heating

Oven won't reach temperature. Could be a bake element, igniter, or temperature sensor issue.

Uneven Cooking

Food burns on one side or cooks unevenly. Often a faulty convection fan, element, or calibration issue.

Self-Clean Won't Work

Self-cleaning cycle fails to start or complete. Usually a door lock mechanism or control board problem.

Door Won't Close

Oven door doesn't seal properly. Typically worn hinges, a damaged gasket, or misaligned latch.

Temperature Inaccurate

Oven runs too hot or too cold. Usually a faulty temperature sensor or thermostat calibration issue.

Gas Smell

Turn the oven off. If the smell is strong or stays with the oven off, leave the house and call the gas utility or 911 from outside; we repair the igniter or valve once the leak is ruled out.

How long an oven should last

Ovens commonly reach 13–15 years or more because many heating and ignition parts are replaceable. The limiting factor on older models is often not the oven cavity but electronics and parts availability: a discontinued control board can decide the economics before the heating system itself is worn out.

Is it worth repairing?

Igniters, elements, temperature sensors, thermostats, door seals and many fans are economical repairs even on an older oven. The harder decision is a built-in wall oven with a discontinued or very expensive control: replacement may involve cabinetry and electrical work, so we compare the repair with the real installed replacement cost rather than the sticker price of a new appliance.

What changes the price

Gas or electric, the failed component, and access. An igniter, element or sensor is usually direct; a wall or double oven may need to be pulled from cabinetry, and some control boards are model-specific. That is why two ovens with the same no-heat symptom can have very different quotes after testing.

What the visit looks like

Most oven diagnostics are one visit. We test ignition or elements, temperature sensing and controls before quoting the expensive part; if a model-specific board or built-in access is required, the repair may be scheduled for a second visit. Gas-smell complaints are treated as a safety issue first, not as a normal repair appointment.

Frequently asked questions

How much does oven repair cost?

The diagnostic is $69 and is applied toward an approved repair. Igniters, elements, sensors, controls, and built-in access can change the quote substantially, so we give you a fixed price after diagnosis and before work starts.

Do you repair gas ovens?

Yes, our technicians handle both gas and electric oven repair with all safety protocols.

My oven smells like gas — what should I do?

Stop using the oven. If the gas smell is strong or continues with the appliance off, leave the area, avoid flames and electrical switches, and contact your gas utility or emergency services from outside. Do not use the oven again until the source has been inspected.
