How a visit works, start to finish

You book by phone or online, tell us which appliance it is and what it is doing, and choose an arrival window. We confirm the appointment by text with a link to your booking, where you can add an email address for the estimate and invoice, check the service address and leave a gate code or parking note for the technician.

At the house the technician first asks what you have noticed: when the problem started, any codes on the display, any noise or smell. Then the appliance is tested rather than guessed at. On a refrigerator that can mean checking the compressor circuit, the fans and the defrost system; on a washer, the drain path, the door or lid lock and the motor. When the cause is found you hear it in plain words, along with a price for the repair.

If you approve, the work can start right away when the part is on the truck. When a part has to be ordered for your model, the technician tells you so and the return visit to fit it is arranged with you. Before leaving, the technician runs the appliance so you can see it working.

How we quote

The diagnostic visit is $69. It covers the trip and the testing, and if you approve the repair the $69 is applied to the repair total, so it is not charged twice. The repair itself is a fixed quote given after the diagnosis and before any work starts, with parts and labor in one figure. You can approve it, take time to think it over, or decline it.

We do not quote repair prices over the phone, because the same symptom can come from a small sensor or from the sealed system, and a number given before anyone has tested the appliance is a guess. When a repair is not worth doing on an older appliance, the technician says so and the decision is yours.

What the warranty covers

Labor on every repair is covered for 90 days: if the same problem comes back in that time, the technician returns and fixes it with no diagnostic fee and no labor charge. Parts we install carry our own 360-day parts warranty, and where a manufacturer's warranty on a part runs longer, it is honored on top.

The warranty covers the repair we made. A different component failing later on the same appliance is a new visit with the usual diagnostic, applied to that repair if you go ahead. To use the warranty, call and mention the original repair; the service record tells us what was done and when.

Where we work

We work in homes across Miami-Dade and Broward County, 66 cities and communities in all. There is no storefront and no drop-off counter: every repair is done where the appliance is installed, in houses, townhomes and condo units. If your building needs proof of insurance or a service-elevator reservation before a contractor arrives, tell us when you book so it is arranged ahead of the visit. A same-day visit is possible when a slot is open in your area; otherwise we offer the next open window.

Who the technicians are

RapidFix Appliance Repair technicians are experienced appliance repair technicians, and they are insured. They work across all the brands we list, carry the meters and tools to test components and read fault codes, and keep common parts on the truck. You can speak with us in English or Spanish.

What we don't do

We repair household appliances: refrigerators and freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges and cooktops, microwaves, ice makers, wine coolers and garbage disposals. We do not work on air conditioning or HVAC systems, we do not repair or install water heaters, and we do not do electrical work on the home's wiring, outlets or panel. If testing shows the fault is in the house rather than the appliance, the technician tells you plainly so you can call the right trade.
